Had a very lazy morning. Still it is Sunday and I am not at work today. I have some jobs to do around three house and some journaling to catch up on after lunch. Not planning to go out anywhere.

It’s Beer O’Clock!

I was thinking about going to the local pub for a pint since about noon. I finally made it there at ten minutes to five. I was working on my micro.blog set up, and I wasn’t about to quit until I got it working. It’s entirely possible that I wouldn’t have gone out at all if it had taken too much longer.

I Think We've Done It.

I think it’s all working now. I am posting on my Mac from the Micro. blog page, and it’s appearing on the blog and on Bluesky. I shall have to try it with the Mac app, and also with iOS and iPadOS. I think for those versions, I shall take a walk to the pub for some refreshment. This has been thirsty work!

Getting There

I’m still having issues getting these posts to cross-post to Bluesky, for some reason.

Probably Impatience!

I was trying to set up my own domain with Micro. blog, and also connect it to Bluesky. I kept getting security warnings, and no site. It’s probably just down to me wanting everything to work almost immediately. I’ve been around long enough to know it takes time for DNS to propagate fully, and sometimes, even when it appears to have done so, it can ‘drop out’ again for a while until it’s fully settled. That can take up to 48 hours, although these days, it’s usually much quicker.

Getting Things To Work

I’ve set up Bluesky with one of my own domains. I’ve also attempted to set up cross-posting from that domain to Bluesky and Micro. blog. I’m typing this into Micro. blog to see where it propagates to
