Gutted, I Will Be! Part 8

It wasn’t that bad. They gave me a sedative which felt like having a very large scotch on an empty stomach, but that kind wore off quick.

The gastroscopy was the most uncomfortable. The camera going firm my throat made me gag fur a few seconds on the way down, and again on the way out, but the whole procedure was over in 3-4 minutes.

The colonoscopy wasn’t painful going in, what was a bit uncomfortable was when they put air inside to expand the colon so they can see. Gave mild cramps, like when you have a ball of gas and you know you’re going to do a huge fart.

I have to stay here for observation for one hour, and then I can get out of here and eat!

Gutted, I will be, Part 6

It’s Saturday morning, almost 9am. I’m riding the bus to the hospital for this procedure.

The prep wasn’t as bad as I thought. I didn’t have any accidents in the night, in fact I didn’t wake up until I needed to pee at 5.30am.

Then, though, my mind was in instant overdrive, and I’ve been awake since.

Right now, I want coffee and breakfast!

Hopefully, everything will be OK, and I’ll be eating at least something in about five hours.

Bottoms up! Oo-er.
